Only a few days remain in the year 2014, and I’m still a little shocked that it’s nearly over. This year seemed to fly by, a year of big changes and big accomplishments, a nice little set-up for a (hopefully!) equally big year to follow. I’ve realized the value of dropping needless stress from my life, published the first book of a trilogy that will carry me through to 2016, and started up a new literary review that I hope to produce every year. I’ve moved in with my boyfriend, into a situation that allows us to save up a little money so that we can work toward our own place, and I turned writing from a dream into a legitimate career just at the start of taking off. It’s been a good year, for the most part, riddled with ups and down, but it’s been mostly up, and the path keeps going that way without sign of stopping any time soon.
Excited as I am to move on and get the new year started, I still have a few more things to finish up before January 1st. Well, at least one thing, and that’s trying to finish up at least three more books to restart my “100 Books a Year” goal, which I failed pretty miserably this year. I need at at least get twenty, though, and I’ll post my annual list with my thoughts on what was particularly good or bad. It’s only of my favorite parts of the year, posting the list, then clearing out the “READ” bookshelf for a new crop of books. Maybe I might finally get to 100 books read (but probably not).
I’ll be working on selecting my image theme forVolume II of World Unknown Review, as well as trying to pump out more of the Heartless draft because the sooner I finish it, the sooner I can start editing it and getting it ready for publication in August. I’m also thinking about entering Madeline in a contest, which means I’ll be working on that more, as I’ll need it finished by March if it gets anywhere in the contest. It’s already half done, so I’m not too concerned about that.
Pretty much, I’m just ready to get this awesome year started. How about you?

Congrats on your wonderful year! I also had the “moving in with my boyfriend and trying to buy a house with him” part as well. Unfortunatly there isn’t much good for sale in our area, so we’ve been idly waiting by for the perfect one. Hopefully 2015 will make us into homeowners š
